ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Increased security will be implemented this week at Asheville Middle School after reported threats of a student planning to bring a firearm to school, the Asheville Police Department confirmed.
APD said a report was filed with them on Sunday night, April 19, after a reported threat that evening of a student planning to bring a gun to school following a fight the previous week.
