GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan announced Tuesday that it’s closing a suburban office near Cascade Road and moving 130 employees downtown, expanding its workforce at the former Steketee’s Building in Grand Rapids to more than 400 employees.
Renovations to accommodate the additional workers at the Steketee’s Building are scheduled to begin in May, with employees expected to move into the downtown office, 86 Monroe Center St. NW, in September, company officials said.
