Riverbank Marina Hotspot Roosters On The River Slapped With Yellow Health Tag

Roosters On The River, the waterfront restaurant at Riverbank Marina, has been slapped with a yellow health placard after a Sacramento County inspection on Monday that turned up a string of food-safety and facility problems. County records say inspectors cited issues with temperature control, sanitation and required documentation that must be fixed before the restaurant can be cleared.

According to WhatNow, the inspection report for the 1379 Garden Highway spot lists several major violations. Inspectors documented a large pan of cooked potatoes and peppers being held without proper temperature control, and full containers of beans and rice stored in shallow 4 to 5 inch pans in the walk-in. A thermometer placed in ice registered 20°F, which was noted in the report.
