Paid Parking Blamed As Attendance Drops At Balboa Park

A new study done by the Balboa Park Cultural Partnership warns that the declining revenue could lead to layoffs and program cuts.

The nonprofit organization reports average attendance is down nearly a third at museums and other park venues in the months since paid parking began, compared with the same period last year.

The partnership reports revenue is down by at least five million dollars across its organizations year over year, and is predicting it will be down by 10-million for the calendar year…
