NYSDOT: Inner Loop to close for part of Wednesday for Earth Day cleanup

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The Inner Loop will be closed for a portion of the day on Wednesday as the New York State Department of Transportation works to clean up trash.

In commemoration of Earth Day, celebrated on April 23, NYSDOT and the City of Rochester are teaming up for the “Trash Blitz” initiative. The mission of “Trash Blitz” is to bring awareness to motorists of the impact of littering on the environment and the threat it poses to roadway safety.

The Inner Loop will be closed to motorists in both directions from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. from St. Paul Street to East Main Street…
