BEACH VB: Southeastern opens SLC Tournament versus 7th-seed Nicholls

HAMMOND — The Southeastern Louisiana University beach volleyball team will return to the sand for postseason play to compete in the 2026 Southland Conference Beach Volleyball Championship Tournament in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Southeastern (15-14, 5-2 SLC) will open the tournament Wednesday at 11 a.m. versus conference rival seventh-seed Nicholls (8-21, 0-6 SLC). SLU remained undefeated against the Colonels this season, closing out the regular season 3-0 over the conference foes. Though the Sandy Lions will seek to gain momentum early in the tournament after dropping their last two regular season matches on the road, falling 4-1 versus Missouri State and 3-2 against North Alabama.

SLU ended the regular season with its best record in program history while earning its first appearance in the CBVB Top 50 poll.
