JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Gov. Tate Reeves stands behind his decision signing a controversial water authority bill into law, saying Jackson has proven it doesn’t need majority control on the board.
“In 2022, when I signed an emergency declaration to take over the water system from the city… I think it was proof to the people of the city of Jackson, they were not capable of running the system at the time,” he said.
