ROCKFORD, Ill (WTVO) — An oversized load truck damaged a bridge on Kishwaukee Street Thursday, April 16, reducing the area to one lane, officials said.
The bridge, which crosses Kishwaukee Street between Illinois 2 and Illinois 251, sustained damage that will cause ongoing traffic restrictions.
The Illinois Department of Transportation announced construction on the eastbound lanes of Bypass U.S. 20 will begin on Wednesday, April 22. As repairs are planned, work will also focus on restripping the lanes near and on the bridge…
