SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Happy Tuesday, Utah! An area of high pressure is anchored just to our southeast over the 4 Corners region.
The pressure gradient looks to tighten up a bit more on Tuesday afternoon. This will bring the risk for sustained windy to gusty southwesterly winds between 15-25 mph across the Wasatch Front. Gusts will likely be over 50 mph at times for areas west of I-15.
A Wind Advisory is in effect for these areas through midnight Tuesday. The gusty winds will once again help to boost our daytime highs well-above average. High temperatures will likely warm into the lower 80s across the Wasatch Front with highs in the mid to upper 80s for SW Utah. A spotty shower or two will be possible, mainly over the higher terrain of northern Utah.
Our low-pressure system arrives from the west on Wednesday. This will bring a quick increase in cloud cover, and also a better chance for scattered rain showers and rumbles across northern Utah. Snow levels will be between 6500′- 7000′ FT…
