A 62-year-old woman died Tuesday night in a residential fire in Pasadena, marking Anne Arundel County’s first fire fatality of 2026.
The Anne Arundel County Fire Department said crews were dispatched at about 10:50 p.m. on April 21 to the 300 block of Magothy Beach Road after a 911 caller inside the home reported the house was on fire. Firefighters arrived within 3 minutes and found fire showing from the front of the home.
People at the scene told firefighters that an elderly resident was still trapped inside. Crews entered the home and located Cindy Hill, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Fire officials said it took about 30 minutes to bring the fire under control. Three other occupants were displaced…
