McBride family says Bob McCaffrey’s arrest brings hope of justice in 36-year cold case

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — The family of Lisa McBride issued a statement following her accused killer’s arraignment in New Jersey Monday thanking investigators for their work to make an arrest in the nearly 36-year-long cold case.

Doug McBride, Lisa’s brother who was the first to arrive at his sister’s home when concerned coworkers alerted him that she had not shown up to work on June 23, 1990, wrote that the the family has had to live for decades without answers or justice.

Lisa’s parents, Norma and George, passed away in recent years, but according to Doug never lost hope that the day would come that their daughter’s killer would be brought to justice. That day may be close…
