BEACHWOOD, Ohio — Representatives of Sheetz made their case Monday (April 20) before City Council as to why rezoning should be allowed for a Chagrin Boulevard property to allow for the gas station/convenience store/restaurant chain to open there.
Council agreed to hold the special Committee-of-the-Whole meeting before it takes a vote on whether to allow the rezoning. That final vote could come at council’s May 4 meeting, although no announcement was made as to when it would occur.
And, while those speaking on behalf of Sheetz spoke of the business being an asset to Beachwood, there were, as in past meetings on the subject, numerous people who attended the regular city council meeting that followed the committee meeting who again stated their objection to the rezoning…
