The New Jersey Working Families Party (NJWFP) is backing Hudson County Commissioner Bill O’Dea (D-2) and Alex Valdez for the District 9 county commissioner seat in the June 2nd Democratic primary.
“The NJ Working Families Party is proud to endorse a second slate of local candidates who will stand side-by-side with working people,” NJWFP Political Director Sunni Vargas said in a statement.
“At a time when the federal government is ripping away rights from working families and attacking our communities, we need to elect bold leaders who will stand up for us. This slate of candidates will do that.”
O’Dea, the longest serving commissioner, is running unopposed, while Valdez is in the sole primary battle, looking to succeed retiring Commissioner Al Cifelli – who he lost to in 2023…
