Hendersonville weighs developing Rosa Edwards downtown greenspace

HENDERSONVILLE – Tom Brown, 80, remembered playing marbles in the recess yard of his elementary school, now Rosa Edwards Park in downtown Hendersonville.

He also played on a Little League team, coached by his dad, that used to practice on the field.

“I can still see me out there in 1953, ’54, ’55 … It’s been used almost like that for kids and stuff this whole time,” he said at an April 20 event for public input on the park’s future…
