A late-night trip to Macy’s at Town Center at Boca Raton ended with two Broward County sisters in handcuffs after Boca Raton police said they carried out a coordinated retail theft targeting the store’s fragrance department. According to arrest reports and probable cause affidavits, officers were called to the Macy’s at 5700 W. Glades Road at about 9:04 p.m. on April 20, 2026, after loss prevention workers reported a retail theft in progress.
Police identified the women as Vinquisha Chantiere Woodard, 32, of Lauderhill, and Vintoya Charneice Woodard, 30, of Pompano Beach. A store employee told investigators the loss prevention team had noticed a pattern of retail thefts happening on Mondays and Wednesdays, so they were keeping extra watch on Monday evenings. According to his sworn statement, he first spotted two Black women arriving in separate vehicles and parking near the loading dock on the north side of the mall. He said the women quickly grabbed orange shopping bags and entered through an unlocked door.

Investigators wrote that the pair appeared to be working together from the moment they entered the building. The reports say both women headed straight to Macy’s fragrance department and immediately began placing merchandise into their bags. The employee told police the women stayed only long enough to fill the bags, then passed all points of sale and left the store without paying. Boca Raton police officers then apprehended them.
Police said video surveillance reviewed by a loss prevention manager backed up the account. According to the affidavits, the stolen merchandise found in the large orange bag carried by Vinquisha totaled $3,530. Items found in the medium-sized orange bag carried by Vintoya totaled $1,394. Altogether, police said the women were linked to $4,924 worth of stolen merchandise. Both were charged with retail theft over $300 and retail theft/coordinates others…
