A Neighborhood Favorite in Alger Heights

Reinspired Treasures in the Alger Heights neighborhood of Grand Rapids has been part of my shopping routine since I moved there in 2018. The charming boutique opened a few years earlier in 2016. It quickly became my go-to for thoughtful gifts!

Over the years I’ve picked up everything from candles and throw pillows to jewelry, soup mixes, and unique home décor. Around the holidays, it turns into one of those fully decorated Christmas destinations you can wander through for way longer than you planned.

The shop was created by Jay and Barbara Brooks, who turned a long-time dream into reality after moving from Texas and raising their family in Michigan. What started as a passion for cozy, meaningful home design became a truly beloved retail space filled with refurbished furniture, vintage finds, boutique clothing, artisan goods, and local vendor creations.

In their announcement, they shared that what was once meant to carry them into retirement has turned into a different kind of transition, one centered around family.
