68-year-old pedestrian dies in Arlington after being hit by a car, police say

A 68-year-old man died after being hit by a car in Arlington on Tuesday night, April 21, police said.

Arlington police officers responded about 9 p.m. to the intersection of South Cooper Street and Lovers Lane after receiving reports that a 2015 Toyota Avalon hit someone who was in the roadway, police said in a news release.

When officers arrived, they found the man lying unresponsive on the ground. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries, police said…
