The Sinton ISD board of trustees named several standout students and one standout employee for the month of April, recently recognizing their Pirates of the Month and handing out its monthly Pirate Award.
SISD’s trustees named Luis Chapa as its Pirate Award winner for the month of April. Chapa is a substitute bus driver for the district, with the district saying he was more than deserving of the honor.
“A familiar face from our maintenance team, he continues to step in whenever needed — often driving daily — and always with a positive attitude and a smile,” the district said. “Known for his reliability and team-first mindset, he never hesitates to help, even taking on trips others may pass up.
