New Record: Wettest April on Record Says National Weather Service Boise

BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The National Weather Service (NWS) in Boise is reporting that as of 1:00 pm local time, we have broken the April precipitation record, making this the wettest April on record.

Following a mild and warm winter across most of Idaho, April has brought a significant amount of moisture. Monthly rainfall totals 3.83 inches of rain so far, according to NWS Boise. The previous record was set in 1912. The latest storm to roll through has also brought a significant amount of snow to higher elevations. Bogus Basin reported at least 7 inches of snow as of 10:00 a.m., with more on the way throughout the day…
