Wandering in Time Productions, which runs the Oregon Renaissance Faire in Canby and the Washington Midsummer Night’s Faire, has purchased the Oak Knoll Golf Course property just west of Salem for $6.2 million.
The purchase casts some doubt on the future of the Oregon Renaissance Fire in Canby. The organizers have been looking at larger properties for some time as the event has expanded in size and scope, now over all four weekends in June, from its humble one-weekend beginnings in 2016.
The fair, which routinely sells out most of its weekends each year, provides a nice economic boost to the Canby community and would likely do more of the same in Polk County, particularly if it is expanded…
