Community rallies after devastating fire leaves Staten Island school paraprofessional and family homeless

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A devastating three-alarm fire tore through a Graniteville home on April 16, displacing the Lockwood family and leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs.

The blaze broke out around 10:30 a.m. on the 100 block of Ada Drive, near Richmond Avenue and just north of the Staten Island Expressway, according to the FDNY.
