Former day care worker sentenced for abusing toddlers

SIOUX FALLS, SD (KELO) — A former Sioux Falls day care worker is headed to prison for abusing toddlers under her care.

On Wednesday, A Minnehaha County judge sentenced Chelsea Struss to five years behind bars.

Struss had pleaded guilty to three counts of child abuse as part of a plea deal back in February. She was originally charged with 18 counts of abuse.
