COLUMBUS, Ga (WRBL) — The latest drought update is out, and it doesn’t look good. Locally, the SEVERE (2/4) drought has expanded across Chambers, Troup, and Meriwether counties.
The EXCEPTIONAL (4/4)drought has expanded north again across South Georgia. Plus, Birmingham is now under a MODERATE (3/4) drought, with nearby areas under extreme droughts (some of these areas were drought-free just two weeks ago).
