BESSEMER, Ala. (WIAT) — Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a Black man who was found dead in an alley in Bessemer Wednesday afternoon.
According to Jefferson County Coroner William Yates, an unidentified body was found in an alley along Third Avenue North in Bessemer by landscape workers at approximately 2:36 p.m. Despite an examination scheduled for Friday, Yates said there has been no evidence of trauma or foul play found in the man’s death.
