Cleveland Heights man lost his infant daughter, then saved stranger’s life in her honor

CLEVELAND HEIGHTS, Ohio — Dan O’Connor and Carrie Shultz call themselves “liver buddies for life,” but the story of how they got there begins with a loss no parent should ever have to face.

In June 2024, Dan and his wife welcomed their second daughter, Morgan. She was only days old when everything changed.
