A new soccer stadium surrounded by apartments, restaurants and office space could be coming to Woodstock.
Freestone Realty is applying to the city of Woodstock to rezone 12.81 acres at the southeast corner of Reagan Street and Ridgewalk Parkway from neighborhood commercial to general commercial vertical mixed-use. The applicant is also asking for a conditional use permit to build multifamily rental units and to allow the units to be on the ground floor of buildings within the development.
The proposed development, called The Pitch, would feature about 26,866 square feet of commercial uses, a soccer stadium with initially about 1,200 seats, “future support facilities” and up to 236 apartment units, according to city documents…
