K-9 officer returns home after being flown to Knoxville following toxic exposure

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – A North Carolina police dog is back home after becoming the first K-9 officer transported by air ambulance in Tennessee.

Luca, a Belgian Malinois with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, was flown by Erlanger LIFE FORCE to UT’s College of Veterinary Medicine Monday after being inadvertently exposed to concentrated ozone.
