A son allegedly broke his mother’s glasses in an attack at their home in The Villages.
Michael John Kessen, 41, was arrested on a felony charge of battery on a person over the age of 65 at the home he shares with his mother at 6385 Danielson Loop in the Village of Citrus Grove.
When officers arrived at the rented home, Kessen’s mother told police that her son “hit her multiple times with a closed fist, striking her face, neck and left side of her torso,” according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.
She said she’d heard a noise coming from her son’s bedroom and went to investigate. She said her son began to punch her, causing her to fall to the ground. She said he had continued to punch her while she was on the ground. He also called his mother a “liar” and said that “nothing was real,” the report said…
