ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — Dozens of drivers were ticketed during a targeted enforcement detail on Interstate 590, where state police say unsafe driving remains a concern in active construction zones.
The six-hour effort, known as Operation Hard Hat, was carried out Monday in the Rochester area by New York State Police. Troopers positioned themselves within a work zone alongside construction crews, allowing them to directly observe drivers as they passed through.
