The second man charged in an exchange of gunfire in downtown La Salle has been sentenced to prison.
Twenty-seven-year-old Jerron Fisher of Ottawa was given 5 years in prison after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a weapon. A more serious charge of aggravated discharge of a firearm was dismissed as part of his plea deal.
Fisher has been in the La Salle County Jail since December of 2024. He was accused of exchanging gunfire with Leeonta Patton of Chicago during an altercation in downtown La Salle in the summer of 2024. Fisher was shot in the ordeal…
