Frisco development summit highlights $2B in active construction, major mixed-use projects

Frisco economic development officials and private developers outlined the city’s current and future commercial growth at the 2026 Frisco Chamber Development Summit in April, pointing to billions in active construction and a significant gap between available office space and projected demand.

According to data presented by the Frisco Economic Development Corporation, the city currently has $2 billion in active construction across 10 projects visible on the skyline. Officials said 24 companies are actively considering relocating or expanding to Frisco, with an estimated potential of 18,000 new jobs. The EDC noted that 60 to 70 percent of those companies are selecting Frisco without the use of incentives.

Despite the activity, a supply challenge looms. Frisco has approximately 350,000 square feet of available Class A office space, while demand from its development pipeline exceeds 3 million square feet.
