CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – The Albemarle Charlottesville Historical Society is partnering with the Tom Tom Festival to give people a closer look at Charlottesville’s past through guided walking tours along the Downtown Mall.
The tours take participants on an eight-block route through the heart of downtown, highlighting early businesses and the area’s growth before and after the Civil War.
Along the way, guides share stories connected to three U.S. presidents, while also exploring the evolution of Charlottesville’s restaurant, theater, and live music scenes…
