Cold case search into 1989 disappearance of Elisa Roberson ends with no new evidence, files to be released

ARANSAS PASS, Texas — Aransas Pass police say a new review into the 1989 disappearance of 13-year-old Elisa Roberson has ended without uncovering any new evidence, and case files will now be released to her family as agreed.

The Aransas Pass Police Department said the investigation was carried out in February 2026 after a request from Roberson’s family for an outside agency to take a fresh look at the long-running cold case.
