REEDS SPRING, Mo. — A former Reeds Spring mayor who says he resigned after being diagnosed with inoperable cancer is suing a Stone County woman, alleging she falsely told others he left office under a criminal investigation.
According to the petition filed this week in Stone County Circuit Court, Robert Chamberlin Jr. is seeking $500,000 in damages from Rebecca L. Ellersick over statements he claims were untrue and harmed his reputation.
