Officials detail further changes for Charleston Air Show, Ravenel Bridge expected to close

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — Officials in charge of the Charleston Air Show released additional information on Friday about changes being made for the upcoming show.

The central change is the confirmation that the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge will be closed for the duration of the now one-afternoon show. The pedestrian walkway on the bridge will be closed all three days, April 30 to May 2, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., officials said.

Vehicle traffic will face varying impacts throughout the event. No closures are scheduled for Thursday. On Friday, single-lane closures will be in effect in both directions from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. A full bridge closure is planned for Saturday from approximately 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m…
