AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) – The Augusta County Sheriff’s Office said a Waynesboro man is in custody after a pursuit and search warrant execution earlier this month.
On April 17, an ACSO deputy attempted to serve 33-year-old Brandon William Fitzner numerous probation violation warrants out of Madison County. While doing so, Fitzner had exited through a window, got into a vehicle, and fled the scene.
Deputies then pursued him, but that pursuit ended when it entered Albemarle County. VSP continued helping in the incident, and during the course of the pursuit, Fitzner hit multiple vehicles, drove through railroad crossing gates, and finally crashed…
