An attempted robbery on Thursday sent a man to a Fresno hospital.
Officers were initially responding to reports of a shooting victim around 10 p.m. at Willow and Shepherd avenues, but learned there was no actual victim. Instead, they were told an armed robbery had taken place in the parking lot of the business complex that includes popular restaurant Saizon.
