Father of slain family has been ‘forthcoming’ about cartel past: Sheriff

WILMER, Ala. (NewsNation) — The Alabama man whose wife and two children were found dead and bound with zip ties inside their home has been “forthcoming” about his former affiliations with the cartel, according to the local sheriff.

“We are aware of Mr. Fields’ history, and he’s been very forthcoming about that,” Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch told NewsNation. “We do know he’s had a long-established job, works out of state and was not in state when this happened. I think there’s enough distance between his arrest and this crime that it is not likely the two are associated.”

The victims were identified as Lisa Gail Fields, 46, her 17-year-old daughter, Keziah Arionna Luker, and her 12-year-old son, Thomas Cordelle Jr.
