Richmond student’s death highlights lasting impact of gun violence on classmates

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — After a domestic shooting claimed the life of a Richmond student and left another seriously hurt, experts say the impacts of this violence can extend far beyond those directly involved.

The death of 18-year-old Zion Terry has sent shockwaves through the community.

Police say he was shot and killed by 41-year-old Levy Nelson in Richmond’s Highland Park neighborhood on Tuesday, April 21.
