WARREN, R.I. (WJAR) — Warren police have put out a scam alert after they received reports of soliciting activity in the town and surrounding communities.
According to police, they received reports of people going door-to-door claiming to be affiliated with Rhode Island Energy and asking residents to provide their utility bills.
Warren police said that legitimate Rhode Island Energy employees will not request access to bills this way and that residents should not share their bills and personal information with unsolicited people…
