‘About 100 generations’ of cockroaches close food business. What else was found?

Sacramento County health inspectors closed two eateries including a catering company after finding about 100 “generations” of cockroaches in the facility.

Meanwhile, 13 eateries received citations for health code violations including blackish mold-like growth in the facility, raw ducks improperly thawed and having a moth inside a container of rice.

What do these inspections mean?

While a yellow placard signals two or more major violations. These are typically corrected or mitigated during the inspection, according to the Sacramento County Retail Food Inspection Guide.
