Santee is getting a New York-style steakhouse this June.
The big picture: There’s a strong market for a classic American steakhouse in East County, especially among older residents, and The Heritage Steakhouse will fill that need, backers told Axios.
Zoom in: The steakhouse will sit on the sixth floor of the luxury senior living Lantern Crest Resort Community.
- It will be styled like a fancy old-fashioned steakhouse.
- Think art deco paintings, old-world brass lighting, rich mahogany, white-linen tables, and “soft, Sinatra-era jazz with a modern twist,” according to a press release.
