This fitness enthusiast struggled to consume her daily nutrients, so she opened a Staten Island juice bar

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Gianna Rebosio has thrived in the health and fitness space for years, working as a general manager for a popular fitness chain and chasing finish lines on her days off. And it was during her training for various marathons, Spartan and HYROX races that she fell in love with The Juice House.

“I couldn’t physically eat the amount of food I needed to fuel my body when I was prepping for these bigger races,” Rebosio said. “I was constantly searching for ways to consume my vitamins and essential nutrients.”

Rebosio found what she needed at The Juice House, a small, New Jersey-based franchise founded in 2014. After visiting the boutique-style chain for years — relying on their smoothies, acai bowls and granola bites almost daily — she decided to open a location in Staten Island.

“I loved the transparency of this brand,” she said. “No mystery ingredients, no weird additives — just exactly what’s listed on the menu. I wanted to share that, and this space and the timing just felt right.”

Located in the South Shore Commons shopping center at 2955 Veterans Road West in Charleston, the Staten Island Juice House is the franchise’s first New York store. Rebosio, who has been eagerly clocking 15-hour days since the location’s grand opening on March 14, says she is overwhelmed by the support and reaction from the community.

“Everyone is so excited to have us here, we’re really feeling the love,” she said, noting how her store sees the most traffic during the morning rush with clients favoring her nut butter toasts and blueberry pie smoothie — blended with cinnamon, dates, oat milk and vanilla vegan collagen. The afterschool and post cheer and karate class crew love zesty beet and carrot concoctions.

“Local moms are loving the menu because it’s a good way to sneak spinach and other fruits and veggies into their kids’ diets,” Rebosio said. “The nutrition is all very well-balanced, but the kids just love the colors and the taste.”

Other popular menu items include a “De-Puff” juice made with kale, apple, lemon and ginger or the “Gold Rush,” which features pear, kale, pineapple and lime. Coffee, fruit cups and specialty bowls starring The Juice House’s specialty “Grawnola” — a proprietary, nutrient-dense blend of super seeds, gluten-free oats, dates, coconut flakes, and agave — are also available.

The shop also offers custom catering services for parties, business lunches and other events. Clients can opt for a build-your-own bowl bar or order a fruit platter or bulk serving of energy bites. All catering orders must be placed at least 72 hours in advance…
