Staten Island officials urge drug disposal ahead of take-back day Saturday

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Staten Island officials urge residents to dispose of unused medications during National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

District Attorney Michael E. McMahon joined local health officials and community partners Friday to encourage Staten Islanders to safely dispose of unwanted or expired prescription drugs ahead of National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday.

The event aims to provide a safe and responsible way to dispose of prescription drugs while educating the public about potential medication abuse.
