A man was carjacked while dropping off a friend in the West Loop on Thursday evening, according to a Chicago police report.
The 21-year-old victim was sitting in his 2025 Honda Accord in the 100 block of North Carpenter Street around 8:30 p.m. when a hijacker opened the driver’s door and pulled him from the vehicle, a Chicago Police Department spokesperson said. The offender then drove away in the Honda.
Police later recovered the car in the 700 block of North Hamlin Avenue in Humboldt Park, the spokesperson said. The hijacker had fled before officers arrived…
