KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Knoxville’s Housing and Neighborhood Development department held a public meeting on Tuesday to review the final draft of the annual action plan. That plan outlines how the city plans to use funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for local housing-related projects.
The city is expecting around $2.5 million in HUD funding this year. The money will be used for four goals: keep people housed, encourage housing development, transform blighted properties and promote housing fairness.
