WESTBOROUGH — On April 12, the Westborough Police Department responded to an alleged “Street Takeover” event, which typically involve a gathering of a large number of vehicles, in a secluded lot off of Research Drive.
About 10 to 20 vehicles were at the site upon arrival, and one vehicle allegedly accelerated toward officers, nearly striking a cruiser, before accelerating onto a roadway at a high rate of speed. The car reportedly had no headlights.
