Omaha awards grants to neighborhood groups focused on food access

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Over the last six months, Mayor Ewing has zeroed in on a major priority: improving food access across the community.

On Friday, the city backed that up with funding, awarding annual grants to neighborhood groups. More than half of the grants awarded are for food pantries and organizations who maintain a community garden.
