SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A driver was hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash on Route 58 in Suffolk Friday evening, according to the City of Suffolk’s Department of Fire & Rescue.
On April 24 at around 11:49 p.m., the department responded to a two-vehicle crash with entrapment that involved a car and a tractor-trailer on Route 58 eastbound between Pruden Boulevard and Godwin Boulevard’s exits. Firefighters extricated the vehicle’s driver after the vehicle was pinned under the tractor trailer’s trailer.
Suffolk Fire’s paramedics treated the driver and transferred them to Nightingale Regional Air Ambulance. They were then flown to a local hospital with serious injuries.
