MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — A home in Mobile was destroyed after a fire Saturday morning.
Mobile Fire Rescue responded to the call of a fire on Carlton Acres East Drive, just off Halls Mill Road, around 8:58 a.m. Saturday. When WKRG arrived on scene, smoke was pouring from the home and flames were visible.
Firefighters were able to put out the blaze and were on the lookout for hot spots for more than an hour after it started. According to witness statement, a woman was heard screaming that the house was on fire, and that’s when 911 was called.
